2008 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid

 
While most hybrid vehicles use the electric engine to run the vehicle as well, the Silverado is very different. The electricity is only used to run the vehicle when idling, and handle the internal workings of the truck such as the heater and air conditioner for example.  The 2008 Chevy Silverado Hybrid still offers the impressive power and torque that a Silverado is known and loved for.

The Silverado Hybrid is certainly helpful during times of increased fuel prices. With a difference of 2-3 miles per gallon more on a hybrid than standard Silverado, you are definitely going a bit further between filling up. With sleek style and a unique shape, this SUV is not your normal SUV. In a more compact size, this is could be your perfect vehicle.

With room to hold up to five passengers, the tall HHR is a roomy dream for headspace, there is no leaning over to fit inside. There are two different suspension and wheel sizes for you to choose from depending upon your preference, with a 16” as well as a 17” wheel possible. Add some easy electric power steering and you have a smooth driving machine.

With some great options such as power windows and even locks, plus a great sounding six speaker CD system, and add to that remote keyless entry standard, this definitely leans towards the luxury SUV side. The next set of good news is that models that are automatic transmission equipped feature remote start so there is no more starting the car on those freezing mornings.

  The HHR features two engines, one is the 2.2 liter 4 cylinder engine, which offers a small 145 horsepower, and the other is a slightly bigger 2.4-liter 4 cylinder engine that offers a whopping 171 horsepower. Even though this is a  smaller SUV, it still has plenty of power  and the savings at the gas pump will also put a smile on your face.
